Late in the month of August, we took a road trip down to Fremont, New Hampshire to film some of the last footage to be added into our new project, Snow Gods. The objective of our travels was to interview Randy “The Hammer” Grasso about his ski career and how he funds the addiction. Currently, Hammer’s self owned company, Grass By Grasso, is taking the landscaping business of New Hampshire by storm, and supporting a true Eastern ski bum who lives for the bumps.
The Hammer has been skiing Killington since the 1980’s, has participated in dozens of Bear Mountain Mogul Challenges, and has the party scene dialed. He rents a house outside of K-Town, which is where he lives for most of the winter and so he can cut the time down of what would be a two and a half hour trip from Fremont, New Hampshire. Always skiing bell to bell, rain or shine, you can usually find the Hammer shredding at Bear Mountain on Outer Limits or Devil’s Fiddle at almost any time of the day…. unless it’s dumping of course. Then he’ll be hiding out in his secret woods stashes.
Look for the Hammer featured segment in this year’s movie, Snow Gods. It will be a great look into a Killington veteran and a mindset that everyone can relate to: being addicted to skiing.
