So It Begins in Burlington

The Meathead Films '08/'09 Movie Tour officially kicked off with our hometown premiere in Burlington on Sept. 26.

Having screened the film at IF3 just weeks before, there was a mad rush to edit all the bonus features, finish cover art, and make a few final tweaks to the movie before showing it at our annual Burlington event.

It was decided to start the movie tour a week earlier than usual this year (the Burlington show has been the first week of Oct. in the past) in order to get on the road and start firing off more premieres before the holidays.

DJ Cre-8 spun beats as the first 6:30 crowd piled in. Usually our first showing is a bit thinner in attendance and our later showing the most busy. However, this year, BOTH showings were packed to the gills in the 350 seat CC theatre at UVM. Hundreds of prizes were thrown out to stoke the crowd, Geoff hit the mic to thank sponsors and let everyone know about the Magic Hat afterparty at Nectars, and then the show began!

UVM is always rowdy and loud and this year was no different. Both showings had lots of applause, gasps and laughter as the movie took viewers through an East Coast season with the Meatheads. Andy Parry and Will Wesson's (UVM Grad) finale segment had the crowd roaring with astonishment as the two put on a creative display of urban trickery.

A raffle was held after each show with a limited edition pair of LINE Anthem's being given away to a lucky winner at the 9pm show. Then it was off to downtown Burlington to the afterparty at Nectars, where the Meatheads and friends partied the night away in celebration of their most stellar movie and season ever!
