It has always been a tradition to kick off the annual Meathead movie tour in New Hampshire (it being very close to Vermont and all). However, this autumn, we decided to change things up and give Mainers the first look at the new flick.
Starting on Monday, Sept. 29 and finishing on Friday the 3rd of October, the meat men premiered the Head For The Hills at 5 rowdy stops throughout Vacationland.
Short and sweet here is how they all went:
1) Bowdoin - intimate crowd of 80, quick set-up, loud cheers, minimal hotties, back to Rooster's parents' house in Bath, ME for late dinner
2) Colby - 100+ attendance, dudes dressed in 80's gear, lots of prizes, good weather, nice theater, bad sound system, beers at the campus bar afterwards, free birthday cake, drunk birthday girl = funny
3) Bates - arrived early, small theatre, good sound, Shea Flynn's family represent!, enthusiastic, big 'ol raffle, stoked crowd
4) U Maine: Orono - pre-premiere visit with Jon at Acadia Mountain Guides (see the movie Epoch), great job promoting, HUGE theatre, 250 attendance, screaming and yelling, kicked out the Red Bull girls, men wearing women's clothing, intoxicated Luke flips down cement steps on bike (ouch), annual Pat's Pizza afterparty, ski sweaters, Outing Club house, more afterparty, Luke with no shirt making out with some girl, pass out on floor
5) U Maine: Farmington - early morning skate sesh in Bangor, visit to Dysarts truck stop for T-shirts, scenic drive, fall foliage, nice theatre, 200 peeps, rowdiest crowd in all of Maine, tons of cheers, someone tackles inflatable Meathead, mellow dinner, rager afterparty - best of the tour so far, bed time at 4 a.m.
