The Dirty South Trip II

So I'm sitting here in the Meathead Films office in Williston, VT and realized it's been a little too long since I've updated my blog. My last two weeks were spent in the eastern region of the "dirty south," driving around with the meatsticks hitting urban rails and features. Needless to say, everyone is stoked to be done skiing for a couple days as it was a ridiculous 2 weeks.

The first few days after arriving in the nation's capital was spent carousing through the streets of Washington D.C. in hopes of good features to hit where monuments and memorials would be seen in the background.

Our nightly down time was spent at College Park where we refused to sleep, staying up regularly either going to frat parties or hanging with a crazy group of Stauble's girlfriends. After spending almost a week at the University of Maryland, Andy, Stauble and myself started to relapse on the fun college nights that we had been drifting away from due to our skiing and filming schedule. Shout out to PIKE president Matt Simon for hooking us up and showing us around town as well as Ariel, Lauren, Lindsay and Michelle for providing us with a sick place to chill at while we soiled the apartment air with dirty ski socks. Once we were done ducking and dodging numerous security guards and police officers in D.C., the crew and I headed to downtown Baltimore Maryland where we explored the streets of Oriole territory.

After getting work done in Baltimore, we kept heading north, stopping in York Pennsylvania where we hit a plethora of cool and unique looking features. Shout out to our guide Mike as well as head grounds manager Brandon! When we arrived in York, Andy and myself (who were the only athletes still skiing, due to Will leaving on injury) didn't think we were going to hold out for too long. To our surprise, we had a great group of people who helped us set up some really cool features inside a professional baseball stadium! A week and a half into our trip, we stumbled upon the Sovereign Bank Stadium, home of the York Revolution baseball team. It was here where we met up with Brandon Putman who not only allowed us to have free range in the stadium, but also turned on the mondo stadium lights so that we could film in a private-type setting! Ballerrr.

When we got done at the stadium, we finished out our trip skiing in York where our nights were spent jumping from Super 8's and Comfort Inn's that seemed glorious at the time, but in all reality were all pretty shady. Now the dirty south tour is officially over! Enough said, spread the word about this blog because I only have 3 followers, and 1 is my mom haha!
